23rd July 09 - Stuttgart talks break down
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar's proposed move to Stuttgart has come to nothing after the Dutchman decided his future didn't lie in the Bundesliga. It was an ambitious attempt by the German's to prise away the former Ajax man. Tottenham have placed there hat firmly in the ring after Spurs boss Harry Redknapp declared his interest in the striker.

Harry went on to say "The lad is a very good goalscorer and I'm still interested in him. "I know of Stuttgart's involvement but I'm hoping we will still be able to do something. "There's a lot of talk about who I may or may not be after but Huntelaar is the one I like."

Arsenal are also looking to replace Adebayor after his exit to Manchester City for around £25million. The chance to link up with Dutch star Van Persie at the Emirates may prove attractive.

20th July 09 - Where will Huntelaar go?
Real Madrid will step up there plans to offload some of there excess baggage this week. Los Merengues have gone on a tremendous spending spree this summer and now they have to start balancing the books. The problem lies with Real's asking price over there fringe players. The current transfer market is heavily over-inflated as a direct result of Madrid's over exuberance in there dealing's.

Other clubs are refusing to pay over-the-top prices, such as Manchester United's Alex Ferguson, who says he won't pay over inflated prices and would rather sit it out. Man City have also helped to keep prices high this summer forking out for Barry, Tevez, Santa Cruz and Adebayor.

Stuttgart are the only club to have had a bid accepted for Huntelaar, believed to be in the region of €20 million. But Klaas hasn't exactly been quick off the mark in accepting and has instead decided to give himself some breathing space in the hope a better offer comes along.

The bookmakers Skybet have Stuttgart as 10/11 favourites to sign Huntelaar, with Arsenal at 5/2, Tottenham at 9/2 and Man Utd 12/1.

AC Milan have now apparently pulled out of the running to sign Klaas instead focusing there attentions on Seville's Luis Fabiano. Manchester United are now leading the chase to sign the Dutchman according to the British press this morning. There has also been reports of Stuttgart making an offer but it's hard to imagine him choosing the Germans over United.

Real Madrid will be looking to get the money back they paid for Huntelaar when they signed him from Ajax in January. An offer from the red devils of around €20 million should be enough as Real look to raise the money to bid for Liverpool's Xabi Alonso.

7th July 09 - Manchester or Milan
The race for Klaas Jan Huntelaar's signature is hotting up with AC Milan and Manchester United now leading the pack. Real Madrid are believed to have slapped a €22million price tag on the Dutch striker as they look to recoup some there massive transfer expenditure.

Adriano Galliani, Milan's vice president, has already had there loan offer, with an option to sign him permanently at the end of the season, turned down. They are now preparing a formal bid after a protest by Milan supporters at there training ground yesterday at the lack of action in the market since Kaka's departure. Milan were forced to sell to help balance there books, hence the initial loan offer.

Manchester United will look to add to the signings of Valencia and Owen to bolster there attacking options with Ronaldo and Tevez having both departed. United have the cash to meet Madrid's asking price but whether Fergie puts the same valuation on him is another matter.

Skybet are currently offering 6/4 on Real Madrid to be Huntelaar's club next season. Manchester United and AC Milan are 4/1, Spurs are 5/1, with Inter Milan and Chelsea priced at 16/1. Real Madrid are looking to sell but Perez won't allow Klaas to leave on the cheap.

22nd June 09 - Huntelaar Future
A number of European football clubs have been linked with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar over the past few weeks. Real Madrid's pursuit of David Villa has gone cold with Valencia recently stating that he is going nowhere. Whether that is just a tactic to squeeze as much money out of Madrid in transfer fees remains to be seen.

However, with Real overhauling there squad and an number of there dutch stars falling out of favour I personally rate his just of staying at madrid 50/50. The press have been having a field day with the 'silly season' now in full swing, Klaas has been linked with the following clubs: Roma, Galatasaray, Lyon, Juventus, Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolfsburg.

Real who now have a new president are expecting wholesale changes to there squad with the addition of some big names. This could open the exit door for a number of players. Arsenal have also expressed an interest in the past and will be keen to add to there attacking line with the possibility of Adebayor leaving the Emirates.

Huntelaar Scores Brace

Huntelaar has failed to score following his move from Ajax and so far is being reduced to cameo appearances from the bench. Huntelaar went on to say "I am a Real Madrid player and I will remain one. My objective is to win titles with this great club and I am not thinking about leaving it. "I have to be patient and to hope for an opportunity, even though it will be difficult."

9th January 09 - Real Madrid Could Take There Case To CAS
Real Madrid are stepping up there fight to register there two new boys Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Diarra for the Champions League. Time is not on there side and Madrid have to register there squad by 31st January. Marca believes that the ‘White House’ will first approach UEFA’s Commission of Contol and if they throw out the case, they will then take it a step further to the governing body’s Committee of Appeal. If that also fails to yield a desired outcome, only then will Madrid take it to CAS.
